| These are paintings based on photographs I shot in Thailand and Vietnam. My emphasis is a common humanity, a shared pathos. Isolating the figures allows a closer inspection of who we are as people. The glazing process I use is similar to the photographic process as each new layer of paint slowly develops the image like a print in the darkroom. |
